In an great finish the Chainsaw Proctologists won in dramatic fashion over the
Chicago Colts by a score of 6 to 5 at the ballpark.
Chainsaw erupted with the game winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning
when they tallied 4 runs on 3 hits. The big moment was provided by Marcus
Thames who thrilled the crowd when he smacked a three-run homer (his 4th of
the season). Chainsaw had a total of 12 hits for the game.
Joe Kennedy(5-5) went 4 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the win. The loss
was charged to Todd Jones(1-3) in relief. 'What a win!', Kennedy said.
'These are the kind of games that stand out in your mind at the end of a
season.'
